Claire Rita (Marshall) Desrosiers, 88, of Chaplin, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013. She was born July 30, 1924 in Baltic, daughter of the late William and Clarinda (Fontaine) Marshall. She was the beloved wife of 68 years to the late Wilfred "Willy" Desrosiers. She worked in the Admissions Department at ECSU for many years until retiring in 1987. Some of her greatest pleasures were camping, square dancing and spending time with family and friends, including her dear longtime friend Doris LaCasse. Later in life she truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially devoted the last 10 years of her life to caring for her ailing husband until the day he passed. She was predeceased by her husband Willy and daughter Lyn Pearl but leaves behind son Lee Desrosiers and wife Tammy, son-in-law T.J. Pearl, six grandchildren ,Heather, Jeremy, Chris, Jody, Victoria and Cory; and seven great-grandchildren ,Alexandrea, Kaelyn, Gracie, Aerian, Mackenzie, Liam and Jayce. She was also predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday April 8, 2013 between 6:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic, with assembly in the church parking area at 9:45am.
