Claire D. Bertrand

Claire D. Bertrand, 80, formerly of Storrs, died Sunday Dec. 21, 2008 . She was born May 23, 1928 in Willimantic the daughter of Maxime and Antonia (Gadoury) Bertrand Jr. Claire was retired from University of Connecticut where she had been employed in accounts payable. She had previously worked at Electro-Motive Manufacturing Co. in Willimantic. Claire was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel in Storrs had served as Eucharistic Minister. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30am at St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel, 46 North Eagleville Rd., Storrs. Her family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00am. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham, will be private.
