Christopher T. Seeber

February 3, 1953 — May 13, 2013

Christopher T. Seeber, of Charlestown, RI, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, at Boston Medical Center at the age of 60. Son of the late Leonard A. Seeber of Storrs CT, Chris is survived by his mother Jane Griswold Seeber of Storrs, CT, his brother Jonathan Seeber and sister-in-law Elaine Cordeiro Seeber of Pawcatuck, CT, and niece Ainslie Seeber of Pawcatuck, CT. He was employed by the Town of Norwood, MA as the Technical Operations Manager for the Broadband division of Norwood Electric Light. Mr. Seeber graduated from E.O. Smith High School in Storrs, CT and attended Parks College of Aeronautical Technology in St. Louis, MO, and the University of Lowell, MA, which sparked his lifelong enthusiasm in aeronautics, meteorology and electronics. He was a previous member of the Eagleville Fire Department in Mansfield, CT, a member of the Society of Telecommunications Engineers, and various amateur radio clubs in Rhode Island, communicating with fellow ham radio operators around the world. Though his radio transmissions are now silent, his crystal clear call sign, KA1GEU, will be remembered by many fellow radio operators, both locally and globally. An avid boater and all around easygoing person, he enjoyed being with his family in Storrs and summer times in Maine. He also enjoyed many friends he had met over the years through work as well as through travel around the country whenever he had the chance. Memorial donations can be made to The Charlestown Land Trust at www.charlestownlandtrust.org . A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 1:30PM at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic, CT.
