Chester A. Tabor

Chester Anthony Tabor, 80, of Willimantic, died Friday afternoon Nov. 16, 2001 at the Roncalli Health Center, Willimantic. He was born May 7, 1921 in Willimantic the son of Stanley and Tekla (Sikut) Tabor. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of W.W.2. Mr. Tabor was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking and fishing. He is survived by his sister Sophie Tabor of Willimantic, his brother and sister in law Edward and Virginia Tabor of Windham and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 sisters Jennie Tabor and Anne Lamot and a brother Joseph. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic on Tuesday at 10:00am prior to the procession to his 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial donations to St. Joseph Church Renovation Fund, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT. 06226.
