Charlotte May Fitzgerald

Charlotte May (Barrett) Fitzgerald, 77, of Tolland, a former longtime Mansfield Center resident, wife of Richard H. Fitzgerald, died Tuesday Aug. 10, 2004 at the Rockville General Hospital. She was born Sept. 10, 1926 in Norwich the daughter of the late Oscar and Hazel (Huling) Barrett. Charlotte had been employed by the American Thread Co. in Willimantic and also by the Town of Mansfield in the cafeteria of the Southeast School. She loved her grandchildren, flowers, gardens and was an accomplished seamstress. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 sons and daughters in law, David and Denise Fitzgerald of Thompson, Barry and Nina Fitzgerald of Philadelphia, PA. and Randy and Jeannette Fitzgerald of Tolland; her grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Matthew, Molly, Keith, Kirk and Anne Fitzgerald and a brother Irving Barrett of Storrs. She was predeceased by a son Gerald Fitzgerald and a sister and a brother. Her funeral service will be held at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Friday at 1:30pm with burial following in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson.
