Charlotte Paula Christensen

Charlotte Paula (Giesecke) Christensen, 99, of Coventry, widow of William C. Christensen, passed away peacefully at Haven Health Center in Willimantic on Wednesday Nov. 27, 2002. Born April 13, 1903 in Treptow, Germany, Charlotte came to America with her family in 1907, later becoming a citizen of the United States. She raised her family in Coventry and resided there independently until her stay at Haven Health Center beginning in 1999. A very independent, strong and kind woman, she was very much loved and respected by all. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a positive attitude. Charlotte will be missed. She is survived by her 3 loving sons and their wives; William and Virginia Christensen of Spring Hill, FL., George and Janet Christensen of Spring Hill, FL., and Richard and Marge Christensen of Scituate, MA., a son in law Joseph M. Henry of Lebanon, 17 grandchildren and their families, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:30am at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., (Rte. 195) Willimantic with the Rev. Thomas McMillan officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Cemetery, Coventry. There will be no calling hours.
