Charles W. Sanborn

Charles W. Sanborn, 89, of Columbia, husband of the late Alice Sanborn, passed away March 8, 2012 at Windham Hospital. He was born Feb.26, 1923 in Newburyport MA, to the late William and Della Sanborn. Along with his wife, he owned the Willimantic Camera Center from 1970 to 1984. Charles was a long- time member of the Columbia Vol. Fire Dept. serving as chief from 1979 to 1981. Charles is survived by his daughters Patricia Favolise and husband Paul of Columbia Falls, ME and Heidi Lafferty and husband Craig of Columbia; six grandchildren, Paul and Ann Favolise, Craig, Scott, Nicholas and Allison Lafferty. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 17th at 2:00pm at Columbia Congregational Church, Rte. 87, Columbia. Memorial donations may be made to Columbia Vol. Fire Dept., P.O.
