Charles O. Popple

Charles O. Popple, 99, of Coventry, passed away on February 24, 2019. He was born April 15, 1919 to the late Charles and Laura (Lussier) Popple. Charles worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as well as being the owner and operator, along with his wife, Helen, of Popple?s Poultry Farm and Popple?s Farm and Garden Center. Mr. Popple served in the US Army in the Pacific theater in WWII, and he was an honorary life member of the Coventry Knights of Columbus, Fin Fur and Feather Club, and Coventry Grange. Mr. Popple is survived by his son, Charles J. Popple; daughter, Laureen P. Morrin; son in law, Peter W. Morrin; his close friend, Irene Weiss, his devoted nephew Patrick J. Navin and his compassionate wife, Linda Navin. He was predeceased by his sister, Claire Tremblay and his wife Helen M. Popple. There will be a Funeral Mass for the repose of his soul on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 1:00pm at Saint Mary Church located at 46 Valley Street, Willimantic, CT with interment to follow.
