Charles H. Harakaly, Jr., 69, of Mansfield Center, CT passed away on August 23, 2022. He was born in Mansfield, CT the son of the late Charles H and Lorraine (Lafleur) Harakaly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Maureen Harakaly, who was devotedly always by his side. He is survived by his four children Charles Harakaly, III and his wife Alana of Chaplin, CT, Christina Harakaly of Willington, CT, Jessica Harakaly and her husband Ethan of VT and Edward Harakaly of VT. His three step children Carie and her husband Dwayne, Sarah and Keith. He is also survived by his five grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
Charlie lived a very full and active life. Anyone who knew Charlie would have a story to tell. He had many interests and hobbies. He was a large collector of minerals, crystals, stones, coins, stamps, furs and Indian arrowheads. He could often be found in the fields at the farm searching for yet another arrow head. He spent hours building custom furniture. Charlie spent many of falls teaching his son how to hunt. Springs teaching all his children how to fish. He spent his life on the farm in the gardens always making a wonderful home-grown meal.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic.
