Celia Becker

Celia Becker, 90, of Storrs, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011. She was born on June, 22, 1921 in Stafford, the daughter of Julius and Celia (Jazarnicky) Jurkovics. Celia was a retiree of the State of Connecticut. Cea enjoyed life to its' fullest, remaining active with family and friends. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Ralph C. and Claire Becker of Windham, son Jack E. Becker of Ashford, granddaughter Amanda Becker of Manchester, brother George Jurkovics and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends including her dear friend Karen Shashok. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph C. Becker Sr., son Philip A. Becker, brothers Alexander and Jerry Jurkovics and sisters Helen Jurkovics and Bertha Racicot. Her family will receive relatives and friends at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Wednesday Sept. 7th between 11:00am and 12:00pm with the funeral service beginning at 12:00pm. Interment will follow in Storrs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
