Cecilia Yolda

Cecilia (Skowron) Yolda, 89, of Willimantic, widow of Nicholas Yolda, died Friday Dec. 16, 2005 at Windham Hospital. She was born Jan. 10, 1916 in Willimantic the daughter of Simon and Sophie (Frankiewicz) Skowron. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and was active in its prayer groups. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Francis J. and Deborah Yolda of Lebanon, a brother Anthony Skowron and his wife Faith of Nashua, N.H., a granddaughter Nicole Yolda and a great granddaughter Devyn Anne Yolda-Carr both of N. Franklin, nephews Eugene Koss of Tolland, Robert Skowron of Jewett City and John Yolda of Danielson; and nieces Ann Koss and Kathy Koss of W. Hartford and Christine Prosienski of Maine. She was predeceased by a sister Mary Koss and brothers Joseph, James and Walter. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday between 8:00am and 8:30am prior to her 9:00am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Burial will be private on Wednesday in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson.
