Catherine E. (Wolfe) Kasacek, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2006 at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham. She was born August 1, 1925 in New London to Frank and Ellen T. (Falvey) Wolfe. She graduated from Chapman Technical School in New London in 1943. On November 29, 1947 she married Anthony Kasacek at Our Lady of Perpetual Health in New London. Mr. Kasacek passed away April 11, 1972. She is survived by 4 sons and a daughter-in-law, Anthony and Betty Kasacek of Scotland, Russell Kasacek of Columbia, Edwin Kasacek of Lebanon and Frank Kasacek of New London, a brother Franklyn F. Wolfe of New London, 3 grandsons, Anthony Kasacek and his wife Barbara of Canterbury, Cory Kasacek and his wife Jennifer of Canterbury and Daniel Kasacek of Columbia, 5 great granddaughters, Kaley, Regan, Paige, Jessica and Ashly, all of Canterbury, a sister-in-law, Lila Wolfe of Nanakuli, Oahu, HI and a very special adopted family, Dan, Sharon and Allyssa Caron. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Thomas and William. Catherine was a past president of the Lebanon PTA and secretary of the Lebanon School Board and chaperoned many classes and clubs at Lyman Memorial High School. She was a member of St. Francis Guild, the Lebanon Fire Auxiliary and a devoted Den Mother to many Cub Scouts. She had served as Democratic Registrar of Voters and was active in the Lebanon Chapter of F.F.A receiving numerous awards including the Blue and Gold Award and Mother of the Year. She enjoyed playing Bingo with the Lebanon Seniors and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the UConn Women s Basketball Team. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the New Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon.
