Catherine (Burski) Gantick, 99, of Hartford Turnpike, Hampton, widow of John J. Gantick, entered eternal rest peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday April 9, 2002. She was born March 4, 1903 in Poland the daughter of John and Alexandra (Dorniak) Burski. She occupied her time with sewing, watching the birds, turkeys and deer. She also enjoyed daily Mass on the television and saying the rosary. She is survived by her son Henry Gantick of Hampton, 2 daughters Frances Anthony of Lebanon and Veronica Blinn of Hempstead, N.H., 4 granddaughters; Roberta Anthony of Lebanon, Vanessa Robinson of Willimantic, Rhonda Smith of Florida and Nancy Marion of Haddam, 8 great grandsons; Lee Devanas of Florida, Joseph Gonzalez of Willimantic, Joshua Puhlick of Burnsville, N.C., Justin Puhlick of Cambridge, MA., Andrew Gonzalez of Willimantic, Michael Calliham of Florida, Matthew Marion of Haddam and Thomas Marion of Haddam, 2 great great granddaughters; Deanna and Ilianna and 2 great great grandsons Andrew and Matthew. She was predeceased by a brother Joseph Burski. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Friday at 9:00am prior to her 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St.Willimantic. Burial will follow in the North Cemetery, Hampton. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations to the Hampton/Chaplin Ambulance Corps., Hampton, Ct. 06247.
