Catherine K. Bugbee

OUR BEAUTIFUL MOTHER & BEST FRIEND Catherine K. Bugbee, 94, of Plainfield, passed away in the early morning hours of June 9, 2014 with immediate family by her side. She was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and immigrated to the United States in 1925. Her career included forty years with The State of CT caring for those less fortunate. Catherine was predeceased by her husband Russell, her daughter Mary Irwin of Columbus, Ohio, sister Elizabeth Fuller, sister Janet Stead of Willimantic, brothers Charles and John Stead of Scotland (UK), brother Bill Stead of Scranton, PA. and brother Jim Stead of Willimantic. She is survived by her children, Janet Lynn of Plainfield, Rosae Zak of Danielson, Harold Bugbee and his wife Juanita of Danielson, and Raymond Bugbee of Lebanon; a sister Mary Covey of Willimantic, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held on Friday June 13, 2014 at 11:00am at First Congregational Church, 199 Valley St. Willimantic with interment following in New Willimantic Cemetery.
