In Loving Memory of Carole Ann Larned

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carole Ann Larned, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 6, 2026, at the age of 81.

Born on December 25, 1944, in Colver, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Henry and Anna Suchy.

Carole graduated from Windham High School in Willimantic, Connecticut, in 1962 before attending nursing school. She began her career at Windham Hospital and later spent more than 25 years working alongside Dr. Michael Shore. Her dedication to caring for others continued throughout her career, including work in home care, vaccination clinics, and medical coding before her retirement.

Carole was a faithful and devoted Catholic and an active member of St. Mary/St. Joseph Church of the Corpus Christi Diocese. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and she lived her faith through her actions, always looking for ways to help others. She was known for delivering flowers to families during difficult times and for offering a helping hand whenever someone was in need.

Carole was known for her cooking, her sense of humor, and, above all, her love for her family. She especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing Mah Jongg with friends at the senior center and was a member of the Sailing Club, where she took part in many excursions throughout the Caribbean. She also belonged to the Sons of Italy Lodge and enjoyed attending state conventions with her friends.

Carole loved going to plays at UConn and the Goodspeed Opera House and was grateful to fulfill a lifelong dream of traveling to Italy. Through her church, organizations, friendships, and everyday acts of kindness, Carole touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.

She was a loving and devoted mother of four children and a cherished grandmother to four grandchildren, who remained at the center of her life. Her family meant everything to her, and she will be remembered for the love, support, and care she gave so freely.

Besides her parents, Carole was predeceased by her oldest son, Leslie Larned, Jr.

Carole is survived by her daughter, Sherry Larned; her sons, Thomas Larned and Robert (Jane) Larned; and her grandchildren, Marissa (Ryan) Kelly, James Larned, Olivia Larned, and Madison Chase.

She lived a life centered around her family, her Catholic faith, and helping others. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and faithful member of her community. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

May the angels she loved so dearly now welcome her home.
