Carol Jean Thayer

from Potter F.H. 860-423-2211 Carol J. Thayer, 57, of Friendship St. Willimantic, died Monday Sept. 17, 2001 at the Windham Hospital. She was born Sept. 23, 1943 in Willimantic the daughter of the late Robert Moseley and Sophie (Lesniak) Gorlach. She was a graduate of Windham High School and had been employed by the State of Connecticut for many years at the Mansfield Training School and most recently at the Ct. Valley Hospital in Middletown. Carol is survived by her son Gregory Thayer of N. Windham, 3 sisters; Nancy Caron of Canada, Joan Gorlach of N. Windham and Beverly Gorlach of Bolton, a brother William Gorlach of N. Windham and several nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00am at the funeral home, with burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
