Carol Elaine Pelphrey

Carol Elaine (Pittman) Pelphrey, 59, recently of Manchester, CT passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Middlesex Hospital of breast cancer. Born in Dayton, OH on December 27, 1952, Carol married on December 23, 1973 and is survived by her husband Keith Pelphrey, her daughters Amanda Leigh and Jacqueline Nicole Pelphrey, her son-in-law Andrew Ward, and her grandsons Kobe and Benjamin Ward. A registered nurse and medical office manager for 27 years, after her diagnosis with breast cancer in 2004 Carol became passionate about helping other women in her situation and founded Essentials for the Special Woman, a cancer boutique in Vernon, CT. There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at Baptist Fellowship, 195 Rte. 6, Columbia, CT.
