Carol H. Hagen passed away Friday October 9th at Backus Hospital. Carol was born July 10,1941 in Westerly RI, to Arthur H. Hagen and Freda Wanagel. She will be missed by her sisters and brother, Janet Proulx, Harvey and Pat Hagen, Sue Hagen, Nancy Hagen and Don Berg. She was predeceased by her sister Betty Jean Bech. She will also be missed by her nephews and niece: Jon, Mike, Jeremy, Jennifer, Nathan, and Jeff. Carol grew up in Tolland, attending grammar school at Hicks Memorial, high school at Rockville High. She graduated from UConn College of Education in 1963, with a major of Physical Education. She then taught P.E. at RHAM Junior-Senior High School for 35 years. In 1967 she was in the IFYE Exchange Program, and spent a year in Sweden. Carol was a lifelong active member with 4H, and worked at the 4H camp for many years, and remained active with the 4H Foundation. She loved to see the world and traveled extensively. She was also a huge fan of UConn basketball, a season ticket holder for years. Go Huskies!

A Celebration of Life will be held at Potter Funeral Home on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
