Carol Ann Dauphin

October 28, 1945 — October 21, 2025

Mansfield

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Dauphin, of Mansfield, Connecticut, who passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the age of 79.

Carol was born on October 28, 1945, in Lansing, Michigan, and was the daughter of the late Raymond Dauphin and Sophie (Grabowtiz) Dauphin. She grew up as an “Air Force brat,” her father’s career in the United States Air Force required the family to relocate frequently throughout her childhood. As a result, she attended several schools before ultimately graduating from Huntsville High School.

Carol worked for many years as a paralegal and later spent eighteen years living in Safety Harbor, Florida, before moving north to be closer to her daughter. She was a deeply creative soul with a lifelong love of the arts. In her later years, she found great joy and fulfillment in watercolor painting, a passion that brought her peace and expression.

Carol is survived by her beloved daughter, Janet Dauphin of Mansfield Center, CT, and numerous extended family members and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her sister, Paula Topor, and her brother, Marc Rohrbacher, both of Suffield.

A memorial service for Carol will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Unitarian Universalist Society East at 153 Vernon Street West in Manchester.
