Carmen Rodriguez Obituary
Carmen B. Rodriguez passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 11, 2022. She was born in Catano, Puerto Rico and raised in Dorado, Puerto Rico. Carmen was the daughter of the late Manuel Rodriguez and Gregoria Morales. She worked for Playtex Factory in Dorado, Puerto Rico for over 10 years. Carmen was a devoted wife to the late Flor Otero Nieves of Dorado whom she later divorced. She was also a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Her passions were knitting, sewing, and crocheting.
Carmen is survived by her 5 children: Carmen G. Otero (Fuentes), Flor E. Otero (Rivera), Xiomara Otero (Serrano), Hommy Otero, and Janira Casanova. She also had 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Carmen had 5 siblings: Amelia, Juan, Juana, Laura and the late Rogelio.
The family would like to thank everyone that took part in Carmen’s care, Potter Funeral Home for their sensitivity to our feelings and emotions and for providing us with guidance thru this so difficult process.
Carmen’s family will be receiving family and friends at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, Willimantic, CT on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 10:00AM- 12:00PM. Burial will follow at New Willimantic Cemetery, RT 32, Willimantic, CT at 12:30PM.
