Carlos M. Rivera Lopez

Carlos M. Rivera Lopez, 77, of Willimantic, husband of Maria Rivera, died Saturday November 5, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. He is the son of the late Thomas and Irma (Lopez) Rivera. Carlos was a long-time resident of Willimantic. He was also an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his wife, Carlos is survived by two sons: Carlos Rivera Jr. and his wife Liz and Victor Rivera and his companion Shirley; two brothers Thomas Rivera of Georgia and Daniel Rivera of Puerto Rico; two sisters Norma Rivera of Puerto Rico and Yolanda Rivera of Puerto Rico; three grandchildren Haley, Savanna, and Jaylen; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Norma Rivera. Carlos? family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday November 8, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 9, 2016 at 11:00am at Potter Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
