Carl Snow, 92, of Mansfield Depot,CT, died November 8, 2009 in Florida. Born in Mansfield Depot, in the same house he currently lived in, he was the son of Florence and Walter Snow. He was married to Emma (Lasky) from 1941 until her death in 2000. He was the father of Crystal Snow of CT and Holly Moore (Walter) of FL, grandfather of Carla Tolone (Mark) of FL and great grandfather of Aiden Tolone. Carl was a poultry, horse, and dairy farmer and later in life worked in the dairy and grounds department at the Mansfield State Training School. He was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church of Coventry, a 65-year member of Coventry Grange #75, and a 69.5-year member of Uriel Lodge #24 AF & AM of Merrow. In 2008, he was humbled to receive the Pierpont Edwards Medal in Bronze for Distinguished Masonic Service. He and Emma made many trips throughout the U.S. in their RV with their National Camping Travelers friends. They were charter members of the Travelers Woods Family Campground in Bernardston, MA. For the last 31 years he had spent the winter months in Eustis, FL. The visitation will be on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2:00-4:00 P.M. at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rt. 195), Willimantic. The funeral will be on Monday, November 16, 11:00 A.M. at the First Congregational Church of Coventry, 1171 Main St. (Rt. 31), South Coventry. There will be a private family burial at the Storrs Cemetery.
