Carine Mary Lando

Carine Mary Lando of Vernon, CT, born September 15, 1947 in Caribou, Maine, loving mother to Jamie Main Tollefsen, Lalaina Main Hill and Selena Lando, grandmother (Nana) to Dylan, Carissa, James, Keano, Joscelin, Jaden and Gage; great-grandmother to Gabriella and Max; was called home to be with our blessed Father on August 24, 2014. She passed away unexpectedly surrounded with love and family. Born the 11th child of 13, she is survived by her siblings, Clifford, Joel, Rosaire, Donald, Nelson, Rita, Diane and Louanne. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Delia and siblings Bernice and James. Carine was a certified computer programmer and worked very hard at whatever she did, though she worked the hardest at raising three girls on her own. She carried her faith with her always which gave her strength, and instilled the same in her daughters. She had a love for loud music and dancing, which made her feel free. She will be so dearly missed by many. Her Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday September 2nd , 2014 at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 1500 Main St., Coventry CT. Burial and family gathering to follow.
