Camille "Blu" Labonte, 81, of Storrs, died Monday October 20, 2003 in East Hartford. He was born August 21, 1922 in Putnam, the son of Henry and Albina (Cloutier) Labonte. Mr. Labonte was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre and a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion Posts in Willimantic. He retired from the National Guard with the rank of Sergeant Major and employed for many years by the State of Connecticut Military Department at the Manchester Armory, retiring in 1981. He is survived by a sister, Gertrude Traska of West Brookfield, MA, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Anita, his son Ronald and 2 brothers Armand and Oliver. A graveside service with military honors will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Cemetery, Providence St., Rte. 171, Putnam. There are no calling hours.
