Cameron John Cote

Cameron John Cote, 62, of North Windham, husband of Bonnie (Atkins) Cote died suddenly on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his wife and family. He was born December 14, 1948 in Willimantic and graduated with honors from Windham Regional Technical School as Salutatorian. Following graduation Cam served from 1967 to 1971 in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Enterprise in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged with numerous commendations. After serving his country he worked as a master carpenter where he excelled in his craft. In addition to his wife of 20 years, he is survived by his sisters, Sandry Goodrich and Judy Gannon and her husband Paul, as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends that will miss and honor him always. Cam was predeceased by his parents, John and Shirley Cote of Mansfield and his son, Cayne Dylan Cote. His family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic. Funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the American Legion or the V.F.W. to assist homeless veterans.
