Burkhardt Faupel

Burkhardt Faupel, 85, of Columbia, CT passed peacefully into the arms of God on Monday, December 29, 2014. He was born to Auguste and Hermann Faupel on March 6, 1929 in Fritzler, Germany. He immigrated to the U.S. in February 1957. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ida Faupel; his son Thomas Faupel and his wife Winnie of Mercerville, NJ; his daughter Caroline Queally and her husband Gerard of Brunswick, ME; and his daughter-in-law Marnie Faupel-Alvarado of Columbia, CT. He is also survived by his four granddaughters - Emily, Margaret, Victoria & Anne Queally and his sister Jutta Technow. He was predeceased by his son Mark Faupel and his sister Marie Louise Werner. Burkhardt was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend. He leaves behind many other treasured family members and longtime friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the organ fund at the Church of the Holy Family in Hebron, CT. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Church of the Holy Family, 185 Church Street, Hebron, CT 06248, burial to follow at the West Street Cemetery.
