Blanche Elizabeth (Potter) Marrotte, 95, widow of Clovis Marrotte, passed away Sunday Nov. 4, 2001 after a brief illness. She was born in Columbia on April 30, 1906 the daughter of Frank and Jane (Potter) Potter. During W.W.2, she was a volunteer plane spotter on the Lebanon green. Having worked many years at the Electro-Motive Manufacturing Co. until they closed, she later worked at the H. C. Murray Store and the Coventry Shop. She also spent many years as a green thumb employee in the Windham Library system. She is survived by a daughter Louise Sullivan of Lebanon, 2 granddaughters; Katrina Sullivan of Saugerties, N.Y. and Audra Sullivan of Lebanon, 2 great grandchildren; Eric Smolenski of Lebanon and Meaghan Doughty of Lebanon, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Carlisle Potter of Columbia and Kirby Potter of New London, and a sister Ellen King of Rockville. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00pm at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic with the Rev. Dr. Bruce Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00pm.
