Blanche G. Brauneck

Blanche Brauneck, of Mansfield, died Saturday, May 8, 2010 at her home. She was born on October 27, 1905 in Americus, Kansas to Esther and Jasper Grimsley. After retiring from a 35 year career in the New York Public Library circulation department she came to her new home in Mansfield Center with her husband Jack Brauneck, who died in 1985. Blanche is survived by her daughter Ellie Lamb and her husband Ted, her son Tony Brauneck and his wife Sally. Blanche has always been proud of her eight grandchildren. Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday afternoon, May 15th at 2:00 p.m. at the First Church of Christ, Congregational, in Mansfield Center where she was a deacon emeritus. A reception at the church will follow the service. The church is located at the junction of Rte. 195 and Rte. 89 in Mansfield Center. In lieu of flowers, Blanche requested that donations might be made to the First Church of Christ, 549 Storrs Rd.
