Betty Zemek Obituary
Betty Catherine Zemek, 88, of Storrs, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2021. She was born in Mansfield on September 29, 1932 to the late James and Barbara (Kuklik) Topich.
Betty retired from working at The University of Connecticut in 1988. She loved flower gardening and making floral arrangements, country music, baking and cooking. She was also very proud of her Czech heritage.
Betty leaves behind her husband Charles Zemek Jr. of Storrs; a son Roger Zemek and his girlfriend Kimberly Todd of Storrs and a grandson Nicholas Zemek of Storrs. She was predeceased by her son Gary Zemek, two brothers, Herman Topich and Kenneth Topich. There are no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at Storrs Cemetery.
