Betty Louise Hinckley-Mather, 84, of Manchester, CT passed away on December 17, 2020. She was born on April 28, 1936 in Windham, CT to Arthur and Alberta (Wheaton) Hinckley. Betty was a graduate of Lyman Memorial High School. She worked for the Social Security Administration. Betty was a Master Gardener and enjoyed working outdoors in flower gardens. After retiring from the Social Security Administration, she owned a small business, Perennial Pots. Betty is survived by her sons James Mather and his wife Jeanne of Lebanon, CT and Lawrence Mather and his wife Debra of South Windham, CT; daughter Terri and her husband Marc Lang of Lebanon, CT; daughter-in-law Nancy of Port Orange, FL; one brother; ten sisters; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Manning Mather, Jr.; son Richard Mather; one brother; and one sister. Betty’s family will have a private graveside service at Exeter Cemetery in Lebanon, CT. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Connecticut.
