Betty Mae Gordon

Betty Mae Gordon, 74, of Storrs, wife of the late Samuel James Gordon, died Friday January 20, 2006 at Hartford Hospital. She was born October 5, 1931 in Willimantic, the daughter of the late Durward and Myrtle (Chadwick) Oldershaw and had lived in Mansfield most of her life. She and her husband were former members of the Willimantic Country Club. She loved to knit and cross stitch and was a great fan of UConn Men and Women s Basketball. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. A graveside service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the New Willimantic Cemetery, (Rte. 32 at Rte.6) with the reverend Dr. Bruce Johnson officiating. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made a charity of the donor s choice. Arrangements are through the Potter Funeral Home, Willimantic.
