Bertha Chappelle

Bertha D.(Farr) Chappelle, 56, of Willimantic, CT, passed away Saturday, January 16,2010 at home. Bertha was born in Hartford, CT October 30,1953, the daughter of Sophie L. Farr and the late James Farr Sr. Bertha was affectionately known as "Birdie" and will be remembered and missed by all who loved her for her respect of individuality, her smile, her laugh and her hugs. Birdie leaves behind her two sons whom she loved with all her heart, Jason and Matthew Farr, her daughters in law Melissa and Janet, her grandchildren Jason, Dominique, Erika, Matthew and Brittanie Farr. She was predeceased by grandson Erik Matthew Pare. She also leaves behind her sisters Virginia Derocher and her husband Bob, Mildred Menard , Elizabeth Jones and her husband Art and her brother William Farr. She was predeceased by her brother James Farr Jr. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews Michelle,Lisa,Alysa,Michael,Nanette,Kimberly, A.J.,and Steven, great nieces and nephews Riva, Joshua, Pamela, Lianne, Mara, Sydney, Nathan, Madeline,and Addison. Birdie also leaves behind her very dear friend and companion Mike Rowe whom the family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude for his loving support and care. She also leaves behind her life long friends and their families that will miss her dearly. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Feb.6th, 2010 at 11:00am at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 64 Pompey Hollow Rd. (Rte. 44) Ashford, CT with a burial immediately following at St. Philip Cemetery.
