Bert C Greene

Bert C. Greene, 66, of Colchester, companion of 40 years to Alice Strange, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Middlesex Memorial Hospital in Middletown. He was born May 27, 1941 in Willimantic, the son of the late Cyril and Julia (Brusko) Greene and had lived in Windham most of his life. He was a member of the Black Orchids Bikers Club, the British Iron Association of Connecticut, a life member of the I.O.O.B. and an active member of several area Moose Lodges. In addition to Alice he is survived by his daughter Paula Maddaloni and her husband James of Moosup, their children, Jennifer Lynn, Joseph Peter and Vanessa Lynn, daughters; Cathy Cannon and her husband Paul of Brattleboro, VT, Ann Sullivan and her husband Budge of Wilmington, VT, Theresa Earp and her husband Donald of Brattleboro, VT, Dede Strange of Amston, Kim Dix and her husband Jeremy of Jacksonville, VT, his son, Richard Strange of Colchester, his brother, Daniel Greene and his wife Ruth of Canterbury, 17 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a great grandson. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with a memorial service to begin at 2:00 PM.
