Bernard Bernie Niderno, 78, of Storrs, husband of Evelyn (Corsini) Niderno, died Sunday March 12, 2006 at Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born March 10, 1928 in Stafford Springs, the son of Bernard and Margaret (Higgins) Niderno. He had retired from a twenty plus year banking career with CBT. Bernie was a sports enthusiast which included coaching and playing. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Evelyn (Corsini) Niderno, a son Robert Niderno and his wife Karen Collins of Canterbury, a daughter Patricia Hansen and her husband Guy of Lebanon, a granddaughter Stacee Hansen of Lebanon, 2 brothers in law and sisters in law, Rudy and Donna Corsini and Richard and Doris Corsini; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and sister, Raymond Niderno and Helen LeMay. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Thursday between 5:00pm and 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00am with Rev. Raymond Introvigne officiating. Interment will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery.
