Bennett "Ben" Wollman

Bennett I. Wollman "Ben", 83, of Willimantic, died Tuesday Feb. 4, 2014. He was born December 17, 1930 in West Hartford, the son of Gussie (Goldstein) and Sam Wollman. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Solomon. He leaves his loving wife Paula (Betters) Wollman, step children Alan Estell and his wife Joan Estell, Holly Estell and her boyfriend Robert Simmons, grandchildren Roberto Rios Jr, Vincent Rios, Ashley Estell and Emma Livsley. Ben served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WW2 as a private first class. Ben started his own business career at Refining Company retiring after 20 years as V.P., then at Easter Seals workshops in Norwich retiring as director of marketing and sales. He also was V.P. of the Willimantic Boxing Club. Ben was a loving husband, parent, grandparent and friend. His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday Feb. 7, 2014 between 1:30 and 2:30pm with a service beginning at 2:30pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Interment will follow in Windham Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the First Congregational Church, 199 Valley Street, Willimantic, Ct 06226.
