Beatrice M. (Racette) Fisher

Beatrice May Fisher (Racette), 88, of Mansfield, CT passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Beatrice was born in Putnam, CT and was the daughter of Peter and Mary Racette. Beatrice lived in Mansfield for over 60 years and was a telephone operator at Mansfield Training School. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, knitting, traveling, and especially wintering in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Charles Fisher. Beatrice is survived by her three children, her son Thomas Fisher and his wife Georgieanna, her daughter Norah Caya and her husband Joseph, and her daughter Charlene Shea and her husband William. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rebecca Fisher, Christina Fisher, Lisa Caya, Marc?Caya, Sarah Shea Crowne, Timothy Shea, Morgan Shea, and 4 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends and relatives, Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 6:00 ? 8:00 pm, at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, CT 06226. A Funeral Service will be held, Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 9:00 am, at the funeral home, the doors will be opened 30 mins prior to the public. Burial will follow at New Willimantic Cemetery.
