Bea (Lee) Andrews passed away peacefully on July 26, 2023, at her home in Colchester, CT. Born on April 8, 1933, in Hartford, CT, Bea lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and her many passions.
The daughter of Leona (Grant) and Clifford Lee. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond Andrews, and their son, Raymond Andrews III. Bea's legacy lives on through her children, Richard Andrews of Arizona, Carol and Scott VonEdwins of Lebanon, Jennifer Andrews of Lebanon, and Russell Andrews of Plainfield, along with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride into her life.
Bea worked at the Hartford Courant, the Willimantic Chronicle, and Mohegan Sun, where she built strong connections and lasting friendships. Bea was respected and admired by her colleagues for her dedication, professionalism, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met.
A woman of many talents, Bea was creative, finding joy and satisfaction in a wide array of crafts including knitting, crocheting, needlework, cake decorating, and caning chairs. Bea's love for nature was evident in her passion for gardening and working in her yard, which was always a sight to behold.
Bea was a beacon of love and thoughtfulness. She had a heart full of compassion and a spirit animated by selflessness.
Her absence will be deeply felt, but the memories of her love, her selfless acts of kindness, and her creative spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
A funeral mass for Bea, and her beloved husband Raymond F. Andrews Jr., will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, 11:00am, at Saint Francis Assisi Church 67 West Town St. Lebanon. Burial to follow at the New Lebanon Cemetery Waterman Rd.
