Barbara J. Postemski

Barbara Postemski, 72, of Windham passed away peacefully on March 30, 2009 at Windham Community Memorial Hospital. She was born in Willimantic, the daughter of Helen and Albin Stygar, on May 12, 1936. Barbara held a few jobs throughout her life at Electro Motive Company and Miller Brothers United Van Lines. However the most cherished job she held was providing for her husband and daughters. She was a devoted wife and mother and truly lived her life for her family whom she was extremely proud of. She was a woman of true compassion. While she was quiet natured on the outside, she also had a wonderful sense of humor. She touched many people through her kind and gentle spirit that will live on in all of us. She is survived by her husband, John W. Postemski and three wonderful daughters, Lori Postemski and her husband Keith Collins of Barkhamsted, Jacqueline Nelson and her husband Steve of Lebanon, Patricia Brown and her husband John of Windham. She also leaves a brother Albin Stygar of Windham and grandchildren, Ryan Collins, Melanie Collins, Brendon Nelson and Connor Nelson. She was predeceased by five beloved sisters and one brother.
