Barbara A. Pitcher, 76, of Windham, wife of the late David W. Pitcher, died Monday November 3, 2014 at Douglas Manor. She was born in the Bronx, New York to Walter and Taimi (Lantinen) Perry. Barbara worked at Stop & Shop in Willimantic, for many years before retiring. She was an avid reader, loved the Red Sox's, and was a UCONN basketball fan. Barbara is survived by a daughter Karen Marinaccio of Enfield, three grandchildren, Justina Howarth and her husband Mike of Somers, Amber and Tim Marinaccio of Enfield and one great grandson Wilson Alexander Howarth; sister Janice Cote and her husband Emile, of Voluntown, nieces Terri Larrivee of Port St. Lucie, FL, Elaine Gazzola of Dayville, Kim Irons and nephew Michael Cote of Voluntown also many other nieces and nephews. Also, an exchange student Ophelia Marulanda of Florida and her two loving cats Wayne and Dorectha and her faithful friend Jeannette Small of Norwich. She is predeceased by her brother Richard Perry, and a sister Pat Rhodes, and a cousin Irene Burchard. Barbara's family will receive relatives and friends Thursday November 6, 2014 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic.
