Barbara (Jones) Pepin, 82, of Columbia, wife of the late Leonard Pepin, died Tuesday Nov. 29, 2011 at St. Joseph Living Center, Windham. She was born March 2, 1929 in Willimantic the daughter of James and Olive (Brown) Jones. Barbara enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune on TV. She also was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting, hummingbirds, trips to the casinos and the Goodspeed Opera House and dining out. Above all, she enjoyed her family and was devoted to them. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Golka and her husband Stanley of East Hartford, Judy Racine of Mansfield and Joyce Sypher of Colchester; two grandchildren Adam Golka and his girlfriend Rosie Gallant and Callah Racine; a former son in law David Racine and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son in law Jim Sypher and five brothers, Stanley, Pat, Austin, Richard and Glenn. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday Dec. 3rd between 11:00am and 12:00pm with the funeral service beginning at 12:00pm. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
