Barbara (Friel) Mosca, 86, of Willimantic, wife of the late Paul Mosca, died Saturday morning May 1, 2010 at St. Joseph Living Center, Windham. She was born Nov. 6, 1923 in Providence, R.I. the daughter of John and Anna (Early) Friel. Barbara was retired from The University of Connecticut where she had been employed in accounting. She was an active member of St. Joseph Parrish in Willimantic where she worked on the first renovation fund and more recently worked Bingo on Fridays. She was also active with the Windham Hospital Auxiliary serving as its' treasurer. Barbara is survived by her daughter and son in law, Kathleen and Paul Farley of Willimantic, two grandchildren, Paula Sullivan and her husband Ian of Willimantic and Patrick Farley of Willimantic; a sister Jane Cummings of North Hampton, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother Raymond Friel. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday May 3rd between 5:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic and again at the funeral home on Tuesday between 10:00 and 10:30 prior to her 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
