Barbara (Bauman) Ladd, 92, of Mansfield Center, CT passed away on September 21, 2021. She was born on October 29, 1928 in Hackensack, NJ to the late John H. Bauman and Ethel (Horn) Volz.
Barbara graduated from Trenton State Teacher’s College in 1951 and taught Kindergarten for ten years in Hillsdale, NJ. In 1958, she married Donald Ladd and entered the antique business with him. They were purveyors of fine antiques throughout the New England area for over 45 years. Barbara and Donald lived in Hampton, CT for 35 years before moving to Mansfield Center in 2002.
She was a member of the Sarah Williams Danielson Chapter of the DAR, the Storrs Women’s Club, the Senior Center, and the Red Hats Group.
Barbara is survived by her niece, Leslie Ladd; nephew, Brock Ladd; and dear friend Angelika Hansen. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Ladd.
