Barbara (Hinckley) Drum, 78, beloved wife of Ronald Drum of Lebanon, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026. She was born in Willimantic to the late Arthur Kenneth Hinckley and Alberta Wheaton Hinckley.

Barbara graduated from Lyman Memorial High School in 1966. She spent many years working alongside her husband, proudly running several laundromats and businesses throughout the Willimantic and Colchester areas. She was a woman who never shied away from hard work and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her home was always open to anyone, and she welcomed family, friends, and neighbors with kindness and humor.

Barbara and Ronald shared a love of travel and were always planning their next trip, whether with their close circle of friends or with the Lebanon Seniors. She found great joy in her role as a mother, aunt, great-aunt, and grandmother, faithfully attending everything from dance recitals and sporting events to horse shows. Her favorite place to be was by her pool, soaking up the sun with her sister, Eloise. She also cherished Sunday dinners and picnics at the family pond, traditions that brought everyone together.

In addition to her husband, Ronald, Barbara is survived by her children, Kevin Drum of Lebanon and Carrie Allison of Lebanon; her grandchildren, Kelsey Allison (Jeremy West) of Virginia, Olivia Welti (Christian) of Ellington, and Ian Drum (Christina Clouser) of Lebanon; and her siblings, Marjorie Beck, Linda Long, Charles Hinckley, June Robinson, Eloise Spielman, and Evelyn O’Keefe. She was predeceased by her siblings, Betty Mather, Shirley Spellacy, Martha Uhouse, Joyce Fineman, Beverly Hinckley, and Kenny Hinckley.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
