Barbara A Daring

Barbara A. Daring, 84, of Manchester, formerly of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16th 2014. Barbara's love of literature and classical music was shared with others through her profession as a teacher and her avocation as a member of the Willimantic Community Orchestra. After receiving her Bachelor's degree from SUNY Albany she obtained her Master's Degree in Education from UCONN. She taught at Bennett Academy in Manchester and E.O. Smith High School in Mansfield, CT. She was an avid UCONN Women's basketball fan. In addition to her husband Douglas of 58 years, Barbara is survived by her sons Gordon of Manchester and Brian of New Britain, and two grandsons Eric and Robert. Funeral Services will take place at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic CT on Saturday, March 22nd at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Storrs Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
