Barbara O. Czerwinski, 92, of Coventry, died Friday July 17, 2009 at her home. She was born September 22, 1916 in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of Henry and Louise (Schiemann) Winter and had lived in Peekskill, NY before moving to Coventry in 1966. She was an active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Coventry for over 40 years. Barbara was employed as a dental technician, working until she was 80 years old. She was a former member of the Coventry Grange and S.H.H.H. She loved animals of all sorts and had traveled extensively throughout her life. She is survived by a daughter, Roberta Dwyer and her husband Tim of Coventry, a granddaughter, Kimberly Gaudette, three grandchildren, Tyler, Jenna and Sarah Gaudette, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Henry Winter. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Sunday, July 19th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 10 North River Rd., Coventry. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
