Barbara L. Chick

Barbara L. (Ingvertsen) Chick, 78, of Columbia, CT went to heaven on April 5, 2015. She was the wife of the late Peter C. Chick, Sr. and the daughter of Andrew and Ruth Ingvertsen. Barbara was predeceased by her son Peter C. Chick, Jr. She is survived by her loving daughter Donna Chick of Tolland and her granddaughter Melissa Studer and her husband Aaron of Columbia, her brothers and sister in laws Andrew and Lillian Ingvertsen and Peter and Linda Ingvertsen and her brother in law Richard Chick of Willimantic, as well as nieces and nephews. Barbara retired from Horace W. Porter School. Barbara enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family. Her family would like to thank the people at Douglas Manor for all the love and care they gave her. In lieu of flowers please give a gift to a charity of your choice in her memory. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rt. 195) Willimantic, CT. A funeral service will be held at Potter Funeral Home on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 10:00am. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family.
