Augusta Losen, 81, of Windham, died Thursday, January 4, 2007 in Windham. She was born August 13, 1925 in Altheim, Germany, the daughter of Josef and Francisca Zoettl and had lived in Windham since 1957, becoming a U. S. citizen in 1973. Prior to her retirement she was employed for many years as the administrator of the Card Home for the Aged in Willimantic. She is survived by 3 daughters and their husbands, Evelyn and Joseph Gillis of Norwich, Carol and Patrick Booth of Tolland, Corina and Robert Wylie of Lebanon, 5 grandchildren, Kelly Gillis of Bronx, NY, Mark Gillis and Ryan Gillis, both of Norwich, Lauren Booth and Nicholas Booth, both of Tolland, 2 sisters, Oliva Tymkiw of Windham and Franziska Brunner of Germany, a brother, Fridolin Zoettl of Germany, several nieces,nephews and many wonderful friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Josef Zoettl. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St., Willimantic with assembly at the church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Joseph Living Center Resident Fund, 14 Club Rd. Windham, CT 06280.
