Astrid B. Kulhawy

Astrid B. Kulhawy, 83, of Scotland, Connecticut passed on January 15, 2016 at her home. She was born on February 25, 1932 to Arnold and Johanna (Skukowski) Barron in Liepaja, Latvia. Astrid was predeceased by her husband Alfred Kulhawy and her daughter Susan Underwood. She is survived by her son Richard Kulhawy and his wife Maryann of Scotland, three grandchildren Crystal Halburdo and her husband Darren of Scotland, Jason Kulhawy and his wife Ornella of San Antonio, Texas, and Kristina Segura and her husband Ronny of Colchester and six great-grandchildren: Shawn, Kyra, Avery, Tyler, Liam and Eli. The family would like to thank the Hartford Hospice Care for the great care they gave Astrid in her final days. Astrid served as a LPN at Windam Hospital for 25 years. She enjoyed her retirement in Scotland and being an active community member. Astrid loved to read, complete puzzles, playing cards and watching the UConn Women's Basketball.
