Arthur Vargas

Arthur F. Vargas, 61, of Grove City, Ohio, died Thursday March 28, 2002 in Columbus, Ohio after a long illness. He was born April 9, 1940 in Hampton, the son of the late Alfred F. Vargas Sr. and Addie (Robbins) Vargas. For many years Arthur worked on the family farm on Bigelow Rd. in Hampton and then was employed as a long distance truck driver and dispatcher for many years. He was a former President of Hampton-Chaplin Ambulance Corps and a former member of the Hampton Fire Co. He is survived by his daughter and son in law Carrol and Noel Waite of Hampton , a grandson Brad Waite of Hampton, 7 sisters; Lorraine Milhomme of Danielson, Adrienne Cichon of Willimantic, Theresa Wolchesky of Taftville, Patricia Dupuis of Norwich, Beverly Lance of Florida and Marlyn Kelehear of Hampton and Dorothea Loos of Danielson , 5 brothers; Lawrence Vargas of Canterbury, David Vargas of Willimantic, Wayne Vargas of Sprague, Glenn Vargas of Canterbury and Alan Vargas of Hampton, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant daughter Dawn Elizabeth Vargas, 2 brothers, Alfred Vargas Jr. and Daniel Vargas and a sister Virginia Maheu. Funeral services were held today with burial in the Litchfield Cemetery, Hampton. For those who wish, his family suggests memorial donations to the Hampton Fire Co., P.O. Box 21, Hampton, Ct. 06247.
