Arthur Standish Moore, 85, of Mansfield Storrs died Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Born to the late Lora (Standish) and Earl Moore. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara (Potter) Moore; sister Lila Martin; nieces Kathy (Dave) Bitzel, Cindy Kidd (Steven Hoy), Chris Hobble, and Joan (Al) Gobin. He was preceded in death by his brother Russell, Aunt Helen Standish, and nephews David and Thomas Wilson. Arthur worked for the state of CT at E.O. Smith and Uconn Greenhouse. He enjoyed bird watching, some gardening, and fishing. Art was a member of the Uriel Masonic Order and a Grange Member for 50 plus years.
Arthur’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 10:00-11:00am at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic with his funeral service starting at 11:00am. Burial to follow at Storrs Cemetery 82 N. Eagleville Rd, Storrs. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Arthur’s name can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children Attn: Office of Development 2900 N.
